Inspiration:
My sister and I literally played Monopoly all through our childhood. This is a nostalgic painting for me that I truly adore. From my childhood to now playing Monopoly deal (A much faster card game version...do yourself a favour and get this one!), I now am passing on my love of this game to the next generation and creating memories with my own family.
The part that says "No Pressure, No Diamonds" - is meant to look much like a community chest pick up card, but it ultimately shares a different connection for me. This is a metaphor for anyone out there chasing a dream. Much like I am with my art journey. It's about pushing hard for something that truly lights you up. It's a reminder that great things don't come without hard work perseverance and often a little pressure! After all I think I've created some of my best work under pressure.
I hope you love this piece and it connect to you and your world also. Thanks for stopping by.
