Who is the artist behind Michelle Sparks Art?
I’m Michelle Sparks, a Brisbane-based contemporary pop artist creating bold, nostalgic, colour-driven artworks for modern homes and collectors across Australia. Every original piece is hand-painted in my Brisbane studio using professional archival materials.
Are your artworks original?
Yes. All original artworks are painted by hand... no mass production, no AI generation. Each piece carries texture, depth and detail that only original paint can create.
Do you sell prints?
Yes. I offer prints of selected artworks, professionally printed in Australia using archival inks 250gsm paper. Some collections are released as limited editions, while others are open edition prints.
Will the colours look exactly the same as online?
I photograph my artwork as accurately as possible, however screen settings can vary. In person, the colours are often even richer and more vibrant.
Custom Artwork & Commissions
Do you offer custom artwork commissions?
Yes — I specialise in custom artwork commissions for homes, offices and special occasions. My bespoke pieces are tailored to your story, interior style and colour palette.
How is commission pricing determined?
Custom artwork pricing is based on size, complexity, subject matter and time required. Larger or more detailed works require greater studio time and materials, which is reflected in the final quote.
How does the commission process work?
- Enquire via my contact page or contact me direct.
- We discuss your vision, size and budget. If I feel we are aligned with your vision, then we will be able to move forward with your custom request.
- A deposit secures your booking & place on my commissions list.
- I create your artwork.
- Final payment is due upon completion & approval of the final product.
- Do you offer payment plans? Yes, I'm happy to discuss a payment plan that suits your budget and needs.
How long does a commission take?
Most custom artworks take between 4–8 weeks depending on scale and current bookings your order size is in stock. However I can sometimes squeeze in last minute requests, so always just reach out and ask. If you’re working toward a deadline (house reveal, birthday, settlement, etc.), please enquire early if possible..
Prints, Framing & Presentation
Are prints available framed?
Most prints are sent directly to you unframed as a budget DIY option. However I can organise framing if you require, just reach out to me. (email: michellesparksart@outlook.com ).
What type of framing do you use?
I work with float frames and high-quality framing solutions designed to complement contemporary interiors. All my framing is supplied by Brisbane Framing and are known for their quality and workmanship.
What If I want a different frame colour to what an artwork currently has on it?
That's no problem at all. All frames can be swapped to a colour you require - Mostly Oak, White, or Black. Please note: this will be at an extra cost to you. If you are ordering a commission you will be able to confirm your choice of colour at the beginning which will not incur and extra cost.
Shipping & Delivery
Where are you located?
I’m based on the north side of Brisbane, Queensland, and ship artwork Australia-wide.
Do you ship outside Australia?
Yes — international shipping can be arranged. Please contact me for a personalised quote.
How are artworks packaged for shipping?
Original paintings and framed prints are carefully wrapped and professionally packaged to ensure they arrive safely. I take great care with presentation and protection.
Is local pickup available?
Yes — Brisbane collectors are welcome to arrange studio pickup by appointment.
Do artworks get tracked for delivery?
Yes — Once your artwork has been posted. You will be updated with all tracking information to ensure it's safe delivery.

Will this artwork suit my home?
My art is created to be a bold statement in modern homes, perfect for new builds, renovations and design-focused interiors. If you’re unsure about sizing or colour placement, you’re welcome to send a photo of your space and I can provide guidance.

What inspires your artwork?
My work blends nostalgia, fashion, magazine culture and bold colour. I create contemporary pop art that celebrates childhood icons through an adult lens — mixing playfulness with ambition and grit.
Is there meaning behind the mash-ups?
Absolutely. Each piece reflects the idea that childhood dreams and adult determination can coexist and that colour has the power to transform not just a space, but how you feel within it.
